Avulsion of C5 and C7 nerve roots was confirmed intraoperatively in a 21 year old male present- ing after motor vehicle accident with confirmed absence of somatosensory evoked potentials upon stimulation via ultra–high-frequency ultrasound (70MHz). Ultra–high-frequency ultrasound can be used as a reliable tool to directly visualise nerve injury.
