This protocol describes an arterial-tracking method to positively identify the uterine artery using micro-ultrasound color Doppler imaging. In nonpregnant and pregnant mice, the method facilitates the localization of an anatomically reproducible site from which to obtain pulsed wave Doppler time-velocity waveforms for quantitative analysis of uterine artery hemodynamics.
