Toronto, Canada, April 8, 2019 – FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc., a world leader in ultra high frequency ultrasound imaging systems and subsidiary of FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc., announces CE mark and 510(k) Clearance for the Vevo® MD 1.1 release. This latest update of Vevo MD continues to provide the highest resolution of any general purpose ultrasound system on the market today.
With the 1.1 release, FUJIFILM VisualSonics will be providing existing users and new customers new features and added value on the Vevo MD platform. Two new imaging modes, Power Doppler and Pulsed-Wave Doppler, have been added to assist clinical research customers to achieve their goals. In addition, the release includes wireless connectivity, new clinical indications, new measurements, and workflow enhancements.
The Vevo MD is truly a unique ultrasound system, as it operates at much higher frequencies than any conventional ultrasound system currently available. To be used with the imaging platform, the patented UHF series of transducers are capable of operating in a range of frequencies up to 70 MHz, a tremendous increase in resolution compared to conventional ultrasound systems.
"We are excited to announce this latest release for the Vevo MD. The innovations in this update are in direct response to feedback from our customers. The new Doppler modes will provide additional data for current Vevo MD users while wireless connectivity will drive enhanced workflow and usability. We look forward to seeing these new features in action as the field of ultra high frequency imaging advances." shares Andrew Needles, director marketing and product management.
The Vevo MD 1.1 is now commercially available with CE mark in the majority of European Union countries and FDA clearance in the United States. For more information and contact details please contact FUJIFILM VisualSonics at www.visualsonics.com.
