Accuracy of Ultrasound Guided Versus Landmark-Guided Intra-articular Injection for Rat Knee Joints

Here the authors test the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided intra-articular injection in the rat knee joint vs. traditional blind injections that using landmarks. The authors found that:

- ultrasound-guided injection had a higher success rate vs traditional injections (89% vs. 58%)

- that untrained personnel could complete the ultrasound-guided injections with little to no training
