Ultrasound of the Bladder

The ultrasound of the bladder is a representative transabdominal view and clearly shows an infiltrating mass, albeit a small one, into the lumen of the bladder. This imaging plane was acquired using an MS550 transducer. Imaging tutorials are now available on the Vevo 3100.

A representative cine loop of a bladder ultrasound with microbubbles is shown below. The wash-in of the microbubbles, in green, aids in visualizing the micro-vessels surrounding the bladder in this imaging plane. Learn more about quantification of the microvasculature with contrast enhanced ultrasound here.
